SARGEANT-This is Sargeant, he is seven years old neutered male. He has bitten my daughter when she went to take his collar. He has also showed signs of aggresssion toward strangers. I feel he could be an excellent pet for a home with no children and someone who has experience handling big dogs.

ELI is a beautiful shepherd/husky mix, age 1 1/2 years old, and neutered. He is housebroken, high energy, and loves to play. He is out of his chewing/destructive phase; he loves to chomp on beef bones rather than shoes. He needs a forever home due to a divorce situation. Although he gets along with dogs at the dog park, he is better off in a home where he is the only pet, since that is what he used to. An experienced dog person may be able to make it work. He loves people and would be happy with someone who is home a good part of the day. He gets along with children of all ages, if introduced properly. He is great with our Grandbaby (age 2 1/2).

For more information, contact my daughter Rachel at the number below. Eli is currently staying at a friend's home until we place him. I am just helping her out, but prefer that you contact her directly since it's her dog.

CHET - Chet is a great dog who is as you can see beautiful.
Chet is housetrained, neutered and current with all vaccines. He does not like kennel life. Can't say as I blame him! My friend worked with him on obedience. She took him to a class to socialize him. He graduated the best dog in the class. She also got his "Good Citizens" papers. She had him in her house...he's great with other dogs and he was fine with her cat. When he's out of the kennel environment, he's fine with people. He likes to play and really wants a person of his own. Chet is house broke and will stay in fencing. He can go out for walks off lead.
Chet will need a dog savvy person to continue his training.
If you can help in any way, that would be fantastic.
To discuss the option of adopting, him please call the number listed below.

REGGIE-
10 yrs old, Shepherd/Doberman Mix. 65 lbs. He originally was rescued from the Hudson/Mohawk humane society as a pup. He is very socialized w/small children. He has been around children from puppyhood & never had to worry about him w/any children. Although he is 10, he can still act like a pup! So many people think he is a puppy without the chewing problem. He has never had any major health problems. He has been up to date w/all his shots and physicals. He just had his annual physical in August, 09 so he is covered until next year. He will be adopted with all of his heartworm medicine, beds, and crate. His one vice--he is better with female dogs than male dogs-he needs to be socialized with a particular dog a few times before he can be trusted. He always wants to be alpha. He has temporarily lived w/a family with 2 cats and seemed to do well with them. He's probably a one pet family dog. He enjoys staying close to people than being outside by himself. He does bark at people that come to the door to alert his family but as long as he smells them he settles down.
Reggie is being placed due to severe asthma problems.

GILBERT-7 yr old shepherd mix, neutered male.

Gilbert & Zachary were pets of area bike enthusiast Dan Horner who died suddenly in a bike accident. Family would like boys to stay together. Crate trained, chain link outside kennel included. These dogs are great dogs, actually father and son! They love each other and will hopefully be adopted together. They are great family pets!

TUPPER-Husky-German Shepherd. approx 60lbs. Up to date with vaccines and neutered (all vet records available) .He has been a great dog for 99% of the time however he has shown some aggressiveness that we are no longer able to handle around our 15mth-old daughter. We have taken Tupper to obedience training & a dog behavioral specialist. We have come to the conclusion, as much as it deeply breaks our hearts, that Tupper is not suited to a family w/small children. Rather than dropping him off at a dog shelter or something worse we have been taking the time to try to place him in an environment that will be the healthiest for him and those around him.

Tupper is a very sweet cuddly dog and very smart. He is great around other dogs and cats and has never shown agression towards any other pets. He has never had any hip problems, or any other health problems except porcupine quills a couple times... He has shown agressiveness towards my husband and me mainly when he is startled awake. The agressiveness was always there a little bit but became much more previlent at about five years of age.
